AICE Media Studies Creative Critical Reflection

Name: Christian Bundalevski   Creative Critical Reflection      How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? The product that was used for my commercial uses conventions because Oreos are very popular, and a lot of people know about Oreos because Oreos are a very traditional product. This product can represent all social groups because this product can be bought and consumed by everyone.          2.     How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text?  My product engages with audiences by the way it makes my audience want the product and wanting to buy and eat the product. Even though Oreos are one of the most popular cookies, any new Oreo commercial will still attract the audience because of how visually appealing the cookies are. The audience would want to buy and taste the cookies after seeing how good the cookies look. It would be distributed as a real media text from

Rest of Editing

Today I edited the rest of the scenes for my commercial. I went thought each scene one by one and made sure they were edited well. Also, since the commercial due date got extended to next class period I will review more over the weekend. So over the weekend I will go over each of my scenes and make sure that it looks good by the due date. And if necessary I will redo any scenes if needed. However, I don't think that I need to film anything else so I will be reviewing mostly my editing.     While editing I was researching some music/sound effects to use for my commercial. I wanted to try and find music or sound effects that sounded good with my commercial. I want my commercial to be well made since I'm working hard on it. Also, the next time I get a commercial project or some sort of filming project, it will be easier since I will know how to edit and use iMovie. I glad I learned how to use iMovie because I feel like its great to edit stuff if you're using an iPhone to f

Beginning of Editing

Today I started to edit my scenes for my commercial. To edit the scenes I used iMovie. Some of my scenes were filmed a few times so I will review and choose the best one. Then after choosing the best scenes, I will start to edit the scenes. I was looking at the length of each of my scenes and estimated how long my commercial will be. Some of the scenes need to be cut and merged with another scene.           I did research on how to edit/cut videos. I researched this so that I  know how to to cut and edit my scenes. Also, I searched up how to use iMovie since it is my first time using it for something. There was lots of information online on how to use iMovie and how to edit in general and the sources were very useful. I started editing my first scene and I tried to cut a second off the scene and merge it with my next scene. This required my editing to be precise because if I made a mistake, I would have to redo it.     I tried a few times to edit the first scene to make sure that I

Filming the rest of the scenes and reviewing

I didn't film in school today because most of my filming is complete from home. So when I get home, I want to make sure that my filming is done. I will review each of my scenes as soon as I get home. Also, I will make sure that there isn't any mistakes in my recordings. If there is a mistake in my recordings, I'll just redo the scenes that have a mistake in so that I can have each of my scenes completed without any mistakes. If there Isn't any mistakes, I will have the scenes ready for me to edit.    Next, I need to make sure I filmed all the shots for my commercial as well. So to review I will look at each scene one by one. If there is any mistakes I redo the scene until the mistakes are fixed. Before I start editing I will review each and every scene before I'm ready to edit. After reviewing my scenes, I will send the scenes to my computer so that I can have them when I am ready to edit the scenes. After sending the scenes to my computer, I will have the
