Filming at the park

Today was when we started filming and it went better than expected. First our group went to our filming location at around 1:00 in the afternoon. We came early in the afternoon so that we didn't have to worry about it getting dark outside. Alex started off by going over the storyboard and explaining our roles for the music video. While waiting for our friend to come over to the park, Alex was filming some scenes that didn't need me in it so I was just sitting on a bench waiting. The scenes that Alex filmed were scenes of the park and scenes that included only Jorge in them and I was just watching them film those scenes. Once Alex finished all the scenes that didn't require me, Alex began to film the scenes that required the rest of the group as well as me.

The first shot that required me that Alex filmed was Jorge coming over to greet all of us that are standing on a hill. After this we moved onto a scene of our group entering a mysterious back area in the park. The first shot was of us entering the area being curious and wondering what's in the back area. The second shot was us being scared of what we saw. Alex then had an idea to go behind a large wall that exists to block the sound of the nearby train track to show our group and I walking towards the area where we got scared.

After this, we all moved to the scenes of everyone playing at the park which came before the exploration scenes. There was a shot that Alex filmed of Jorge throwing a frisbee and everyone ran toward the frisbee that Jorge threw. Then I went to the playground with my group. Alex had us playing on the playground equipment as a possible time filler in case all the other shots were too short. Alex got some pretty funny shots of us playing with the playground equipment. One of these shots was me playing on a toy zebra swinging back and forth.

After this, we then walked for about half a mile until we got to the entrance of the lake. At the lake Alex filmed a shot of Jorge seeing a reflection of himself in the lake and our whole group getting scared and running out of the shot. Overall today was a great day, I had a lot of fun being in the group scenes that were filmed and we got pretty much all of the shots that we needed. We might need to go back to the park some other time but it is unlikely that we refilm any of our major shots again since we got them all done.
