Editing: Starting the process

     Our group began the main process of editing the video today. Alex had downloaded the editing software last night so that our group can use it. But the download took long and it finally finished today. Alex was mainly the one doing the editing. Jorge and I would help him with editing and give him ideas on what to edit.

    We were all in a call and Alex would share his screen. Alex was sharing his screen to us so that Jorge and I could see what Alex was doing. Alex was sharing his screen to Jorge and I so that we could help him or give suggestions. I waited for Alex to upload all of the clips/scenes onto the editing software. After the clips/scenes were uploaded we began clicking random things on the software to see what would happen. While doing this the software closed and we had to reupload some of the videos back onto the software.

    After this happened, we renamed the clips so that we could access them easily. Jorge and I then helped Alex cut the shots to make sure there weren't any blank/messed up clips. After this, my partners and I reviewed the footage to make sure that there wasn't anything that wasn't supposed to be there. Also, our group decided that on a few clips that we need to refilm or make lighting changes. After we finished the footage, we talking about looking up some helpful videos that make the software easier to use. 

    We ended our call after this. This is so we could each look up some video or things that we could use to help us use the software better. I found a few great videos that aren't too complicated that could possible help make the footage better. I will probably show a few of these videos to my group members so that we can all have a better understanding of how the software works.

    Today I started to edit my scenes for my commercial. To edit the scenes I used iMovie. Some of my scenes were filmed a few times so I will review and choose the best one. Then after choosing the best scenes, I will start to edit the scenes. I was looking at the length of each of my scenes and estimated how long my commercial will be.    Title Design Research: Action Detective Pikachu: 1.How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences to the film? Which ones? Lots of titles are shown in the opening sequence of the movie. The usual ones such as Director and assistant director are shown. Since the movie had many different visual effects there was an emphasis on that part of the crew, such as the visual effects director.  2.What connotations do the images carry? (how do you they make you feel) They bring about a sense of nostalgia, especially for those who have been pokemon fans for years.   "Proximity" is a short film directed by Ryan Connolly and produced by Triune Films. The film falls into the action genre. Common Sound in the action genre: Sound is a crucial element in any film, and the action genre is no exception. Action films often use fast-paced, intense music and sound effects to match the high-energy action on screen.
