Searching for an editing software and testing them out
Today, I decided to look into some editing software that my team and I could use. I reasoned that getting familiar with the editing software would be extremely beneficial when the time came to actually edit. I browsed the internet to see what kind of editing software's would be good for us when it comes time to edit.
Jorge had asked for some recommendations for editing software, so I went out and looked for some so I could tell him which ones would be good. After doing some research on editing software, there were many options that we could use. Because it is so simple to access and use, iMovie was one of the potential options. iMovie is one of, if not the most simple editing software available, for those who want to learn how to edit.
However, I decided to stick with an editing software that I had previously used. DaVinci Resolve 17 is the name of this software. In my opinion, this program is user-friendly for people at the beginner to intermediate level. I felt the need to tell Jorge that DaVinci Resolve 17 might be an option for our group's editing. He decided to download the program because he thought it would be a good idea. We had to wait a while for DaVinci Resolve 17 to download on his computer.
Jorge and I wanted to learn how to use the software after the download was completed, so we tried figuring out on our own. We fiddled around with the timeline, cutting, sound, and visual effects. Jorge let me know how he felt about the software once he had a good understanding of how to use it. Jorge said it was an excellent program that was easier to understand than he expected after using it.
After testing out DaVinci Resolve 17, Jorge wanted to test out iMovie to see which editing software he liked better. I tested out DaVinci Reslove while he was working on that. Jorge then tested out editing on DaVinci reslove as well. After testing both, Jorge determined that DaVinci Resolve 17 is the best fit for the editing needs of this project. I agreed with him, and we came to the conclusion that DaVinci Resolve 17 would be the best editing software for our final task.
