Starting the filming process
Our group began filming our Final Task Intro today. Early in the morning, my partners and I met at TY Park. We decided to leave early in the morning in case the filming took longer than expected, and we needed to figure out where we would shoot the scenes.
We started setting up everything and getting ready to film as soon as we arrived at the park. We began by putting on the uniforms that we had purchased. Jorge wore his army uniform and began scouting locations for filming. He was primarily looking for hilltops and other locations that could be useful for our filming. He'd discovered a few hills and some pleasant surroundings that he thought would be ideal for filming. After my group and I regrouped, we began to examine each of the areas we had discovered.
We had started filming our first scene, in which the soldiers are under fire. We decided to shoot this scene first because Jorge and I thought it would be fun. This scene was a lot of fun to shoot because Jorge had to act as if he was being shot at, which was difficult but fun.
We then shot the scene in which Jorge had to be upset about my death. There were a lot of bloopers in this scene because Jorge had never had to act like his friend died before. Overall, I thought filming this scene was a lot of fun.
Finally, we started filming any filler scenes in which Jorge was simply running or walking around. As well as any scenes that were extremely brief and abruptly cut to another scene. After we were done, we thought it would be a good idea to go over some of the footage and see if there was anything we could change. We began reviewing our footage and burst out laughing at ourselves. I found the scene where Jorge had to be sad about my death to be quite funny. We thought the footage was great so far once we were finished. As a result, we had left the park to return home.
