Editing: Researching different techniques

      My partners and I were researching different techniques and ways of editing.  I researched color and lighting. Jorge focused on researching different cutting techniques. Meanwhile, Alex focused on doing transitions and different filters and effects within the editor. Something that I forgot to mention last editing blog is that the name of the editor is DaVinci Resolve 17. I feel that this editor is great as there is many things that you can do on the editor.      One thing that I learned about lighting is that a darker lighting can create a sadder scene. Also, a brighter lighting can create a scene with a better mood. Lighting is often used to help express the emotion of the scene to the viewer. Typically the more advanced the video and film production, the more advanced the lighting is. Starting the filming process

    Our group  began filming our Final Task Intro today. Early in the morning, my partners and I met at TY Park. We decided to leave early in the morning in case the filming took longer than expected, and we needed to figure out where we would shoot the scenes.      We started setting up everything and getting ready to film as soon as we arrived at the park. We began by putting on the uniforms that we had purchased. Jorge wore his army uniform and began scouting locations for filming. He was primarily looking for hilltops and other locations that could be useful for our filming. He'd discovered a few hills and some pleasant surroundings that he thought would be ideal for filming. Changes made from film reviewing

     My groupmates and I were working on modifying the film review today. Each of the people who had reviewed the film had suggested changes, so we had to make them. Today was the day that we had to make these changes to our film.           The people that I had showed the film to were my parents and the changes they suggested to make were to make some of the scenes seem more professional. My parents also said that we should make some of the scenes more bright. Jorge had his sister and mother watch the film and provide feedback. They suggested that the effects be tweaked to look more natural and that emotion be added to certain scenes where it was required. Alex's sister was the one who reviewed the film. She mentioned that the camera work could have been smoother and that there was some shakiness in the footage.           Jorge had already brightened up some of the scenes before today, so that was taken care of....
