Filming: Beginning the Process

Today marked the beginning of the filming process for a new project, and the day started off with a confirmation from everyone in the group chat that they were available to participate. The group chat had been created earlier to facilitate communication between the team members. Jorge suggested that everyone should arrive at 8 am, and both Katie and I confirmed that they would be there.

As I was one of the main actors, I made sure to arrive early to assist with setting up. The first scene involved a table where me and Jorge would sit in a dark room. However, we had to postpone filming the scene because the sunlight was interfering with the desired lighting effect. The team decided to film the scene later in the night when the lighting would be more suitable.

To maintain a sense of continuity, we decided to film the scenes in chronological order to keep track of the production progress. Among the scenes we filmed, the house scouting scenes were particularly enjoyable. It was amusing to watch Jorge (who played Django) act as a door-to-door salesman to gain access to the house.

The next scenes filmed were the driving and approaching the door scenes, which were straightforward to film. Jorge and I walked up to the house and found the key. They then filmed the interior scenes, which involved searching drawers and other objects before heading upstairs to search the bedroom. After completing these scenes, we decided to take a break to grab some food before filming the rest of the scenes at sunset.

Once the sunset, the team started filming the indoor planning scenes between the two main characters, Marty (played by me) and Django (played by Jorge). The first scene required Jorge and I to express heartfelt emotions, which proved challenging and required many takes to get right. After filming the emotional scene, we proceeded to film the remaining scenes where Marty and Django discussed the steps they needed to take to infiltrate and steal from the house.

We all had decided to call it a day after finishing these scenes, as it was getting late and we had enough footage for the day. Overall, the filming day was both exciting and challenging, requiring us to act continuously throughout the day. Although the challenge was significant,we were thrilled to be filming and eager to continue working on the project.
