Filming Blog: Final day of filming

    Today was a productive day for my group and me as we resumed filming for our short film. We started where we had left off in the previous filming session, with the scene of Django and Marty sneaking into the bedroom of the Jetson household. The entire team was present, and we had all our resources and equipment ready to commence filming. 

    Our first task was to film the scene where Django (Jorge) and Marty (me) search for valuables to steal while trying not to wake Emily Jetson, played by Katie. They woke her up, so we had to film the scene of Katie screaming after waking up. We then moved on to the scene of Django and Marty trying to escape from the neighborhood. 

    The next scene involved Cop 1 and Cop 2 arriving in the neighborhood and chasing after Django and Marty. We had to capture them being chased until they reached a dead end and got tackled by the cops. It was a hilarious scene, and we had to do a few takes to get it right. After that, we filmed the scene of Django and Marty looking at each other sentimentally and apologizing to each other after getting handcuffed. 

    We then had to use a drone to capture the final scene of the film, which involved the drone camera flying up and capturing the scenery. It took us a while to get this scene right as we had to learn how to maneuver the drone correctly. After successfully filming this scene, we had completed all the necessary shots for our film. Filming with a drone was a new experience for us, and it was exciting to learn how to use it to capture our final scene. We had to be patient and persistent in mastering how to operate the drone correctly. It was a bit challenging at first, but we eventually got the hang of it.

    Overall, it was a fantastic day filming with my group mates, and we were all pleased with the outcome. We had allocated enough time to complete our filming, and it did not take as long as we had anticipated. We even scheduled a day to review and refilm any scenes if necessary. Nevertheless, we were satisfied with everything we had accomplished on this filming day.

    Today I started to edit my scenes for my commercial. To edit the scenes I used iMovie. Some of my scenes were filmed a few times so I will review and choose the best one. Then after choosing the best scenes, I will start to edit the scenes. I was looking at the length of each of my scenes and estimated how long my commercial will be.    Title Design Research: Action Detective Pikachu: 1.How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences to the film? Which ones? Lots of titles are shown in the opening sequence of the movie. The usual ones such as Director and assistant director are shown. Since the movie had many different visual effects there was an emphasis on that part of the crew, such as the visual effects director.  2.What connotations do the images carry? (how do you they make you feel) They bring about a sense of nostalgia, especially for those who have been pokemon fans for years. Common Sound in the action genre: Sound is a crucial element in any film, and the action genre is no exception.
