Finding costumes and props
Today marked an exciting day for my group members and I as we set out to search for props and costumes for our upcoming short film. As a team, we had brainstormed ideas and identified the key items required to bring our vision to life on screen. To ensure efficiency, we had decided to split up and tackle different stores separately.
We were each assigned different stores to visit in search of the necessary costumes and props so Jorge and Katie went to the stores that they selected. I had decided to go to a Party City to search for props and costumes as it wasn't too far away from my house and I heard that it has many great props and costumes to choose from.
As I walked into the Party City store, I was immediately overwhelmed by the array of options before me. My heart raced with excitement as I scanned the aisles, searching for the perfect pieces to bring my short film to life. I had been meticulously planning every detail of the house invasion scene for weeks, and I knew that finding the right costumes and props was crucial to creating a realistic and impactful film.
I made my way over to the section for masks and weapons, carefully examining each option. I knew that the right mask could make all the difference in the world, and I needed to find one that was both terrifying and realistic. After what felt like hours of searching, I finally found the perfect mask, one that made my blood run cold just looking at it. I also selected a few different weapons, from baseball bats to knives, each one carefully chosen to add a sense of danger and suspense to the scene.
Next, I moved on to the section for costumes. I had a clear idea in mind of what I wanted the characters to look like, and I scanned the racks of clothing until I found the perfect outfits. The clothes needed to be both functional and realistic, and I carefully examined each piece to make sure it fit my vision. As I made my way to the checkout, my heart was racing with anticipation. I knew that the props and costumes I had selected were going to take my short film to the next level, and I couldn't wait to start filming with my groupmates.
After being satisfied with what I found at the store, we all decided to meet back up. We each compared props and costumes that we had found and discussed which ones were the best to use for our film. If there were some costumes and props that we weren't too fond of as a group, we decided to not use them. After sorting out which props and costumes would be good for us, we decided to call it a day.
