Researching the following Genres

Image
Genre research  There are so many interesting genres to research, but I have chosen to focus on three in particular: action, romance, and horror. The action genre is one of the most popular and enduring genres in literature, film, and other forms of storytelling. This genre typically focuses on high-energy, fast-paced narratives that feature exciting and often dangerous situations and characters. At its core, the action genre is all about excitement and adventure. The protagonists of these stories are often larger-than-life characters who are brave, resourceful, and skilled in some form of combat or physical activity. They may be soldiers, superheroes, or even ordinary people in extraordinary situations. Romance is another genre that I find captivating, with its focus on the emotional connection between two characters and the growth of their relationship. I want to research this genre because it allows for a deep dive into the complexities of human emotions and relationships. Lastl...

Choosing our pitch

Image
Pitch #1:  “A film about two ordinary high school girls that live a secret double life as agent spies for the United States of America.” We plan to show two girls first getting ready for high school. We would film these scenes in a group member’s house. We would also have to film scenes of the girls in their spy outfits and performing stunts. This would be hard to do as we would have to use actors who can do stunts. We would also need to use a green screen to show the actresses leaping from building to building.  This may be difficult to set up and require purchasing a green screen.  Pitch #2: “A man tries to provide for his family by stealing from a convenience store, but he ends up getting caught in the act by law enforcement.” We plan to have one person walk into the store. This scene would be hard to recreate in an actual convenience store, so we would need to find a replacement location which would most likely be a group member's house. The person stealing the items...

AICE media studies group blog

Image
For my upcoming projects in media studies, I will be working in a group with two other students. The two students that I will be working with are Jorge Lopez and Katie Weiss. Last year in media studies, Jorge and I were in a group with a different group member. This year however, we decided to find a new group member and we came across Katie. I feel that we as a group will work well together and have great chemistry overall. We all are hardworking and stay on top of any task that is thrown at us.      I have known Jorge Lopez since we were in middle school and I have been friends with him ever since. The chemistry between Jorge and I is great beacuse beacuse of how long we have known each other for. We also hang out a lot and do things outside of school like going to the gym. He is also great at editing and he can get creative when he is filming a scene. I feel that Jorge is especially good at editing beacuse he knowns how to pay attention to certain d...

Introduction to AICE media studies A level

Image
This is my first blog post for AICE media studies A level, and I am thrilled to be returning. I also cannot wait to begin the filmmaking process. I believe that I am a motivated and hardworking person that doesn't back down from tasks. My name is Christian Bundalevski and I was born on February 22, 2006, in Florida. I went to Beachside Montessori Village for both middle and elementary school. There, I made some amazing friends and had great memories. I am now enrolled at Fort Lauderdale High School. At the age of 16, I am currently enrolled in my junior year of high school.     In my free time, I do many things to have the time pass by. Some of the things that I do in my free time is hanging out with my friends, going to the gym, spending time with family and volunteering at places. I go to the gym because there are numerous health benefits to exercising. Something that I plan on doing in the near future is registering myself for the broward humane society ...
